About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer/DevSecOp to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems, applications, and data, while also leading the implementation of SOC 2 compliance. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation and building trust with our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all security matters, including external and internal communications.
  • Conduct and coordinate regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing maintenance of SOC 2 Type 2 compliance, including preparation, documentation, and audits.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
  • Collaborate with development and IT teams to design secure systems and applications.
  • Monitor security systems, identify risks, and respond promptly to security incidents.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Assist in educating team members on best security practices through training and workshops.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a security engineering role, preferably in a software company.
  • Hands-on experience with SOC 2 compliance implementation and audits.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including pen testing, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with security tools, frameworks, and standards (e.g., OWASP, NIST).
  • Experience with cloud-based environments, preferably AWS.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus.
  • Expected to be efficient with Linux command line, git, AWS console, various scripting languages.
