Job Summary

In this dynamic role, you will work as part of a collaborative healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care and support services. As a Unit Assistant, you will assist with various tasks and duties under the supervision of registered professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care activities such as transferring, lifting, and transporting patients and equipment.
  • Provide basic supportive care as directed by registered professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 education or equivalent required.
  • Previous patient care experience an asset.
  • Certification in Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), and Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) an asset.
Working Conditions

This position involves extensive physical activity and may require working in fast-paced environments. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a team and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $21,314 to $23,990 per annum, based on a 0.80 FTE. This includes a competitive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
