Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Salary: Estimated $25,000 - $35,000 per year (based on industry standards)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at CHAHAL HAIR SALON INC. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Stock shelves with merchandise and maintain visual displays to ensure a visually appealing store environment.
  • Process payments, handle returns and exchanges, and resolve any customer complaints in a fair and timely manner.
  • Assist customers with finding products and answering questions about our services.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and display maintenance to create an engaging shopping experience.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for handling cash, credit card transactions, and other financial matters.

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma in retail, business, or a related field is an asset.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly around the store as needed.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
