Transportation Construction Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Construction/Site Supervisor to join our Alberta-based public infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing construction supervision and administration leadership on highway grading, base, and paving projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation construction, with experience in managing a diverse group of project participants, including clients, contractors, materials, and survey staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet design intent, schedule, and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Site coordination: ensuring contractors understand their contractual obligations and project requirements
  • Project schedule and cost control: monitoring project progress, updating and reporting on costs, and taking action to address issues
  • Construction monitoring: inspecting construction to confirm quality and conformance with design and specifications
  • Regulatory compliance and liaison: acting as the owner's representative during construction, responsible for interface with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, government, and landowners
