About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Farm Laborer to join our team at Di Ciocco Farms Incorporated. As a Farm Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our farm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Maintenance: Clean the crops, hand harvest vegetables, level earth to fine grade specifications, and pack fruits and vegetables.
  • Crop Development: Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, remove manually all suckers and water sprouts, and fertilize and spray crops.
  • Harvesting: Harvest crops and examine product for quality and its readiness for the market.
  • Cut and Prepare: Cut horticultural crops.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Repetitive tasks, hand-eye coordination, ability to distinguish between colors, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, kneeling.
Requirements and Preferences
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required. Experience is an asset.
  • Language and Work Schedule: Fluency in English and ability to work 55 to 60 hours per week.
