About the Role

As a Director of Investor Relations at Royal Bank of Canada, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how our financial performance is communicated to the market. You'll be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis, developing strategic messaging, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive benchmarking and competitive analysis of global financial institutions.
  • Support research on emerging industry trends and regulatory developments.
  • Collaborate closely with strategy, finance, and communications teams to develop compelling narratives around our financial performance and strategic direction.
  • Become a subject matter expert in relevant areas, including capital markets, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
  • Create and maintain robust databases for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and other investor-facing materials.
  • Manage relationships with rating agencies and credit analysts.

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations, financial analysis, or a related field within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, financial modeling, and data analytics techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, CFA).
  • Experience with financial reporting software and systems.
