About the Role

B2Gold is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor, Underground to join our team in Nunavut, Canada. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for conducting detailed underground surveys to determine the precise location, elevation, and dimensions of underground passages.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment and technology, including total stations, GPS, and laser scanners, to collect and analyze data.
  • Perform vertical raise layouts, control surveys, stope markups, and vent surveys to ensure accurate mapping of underground passages.
  • Collaborate with mining engineers, geologists, and other technical staff to integrate survey data into mining plans and operations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing underground surveys.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation of survey findings and present them to management.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment.

Requirements

  • Five (5) years' experience in surveying underground mining production.
  • Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Mining Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in using surveying instruments and related software.
  • Knowledge of overall mining methods with a focus on underground mining methods.
