Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-informed services to children, youth, and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, consultation, intervention, and education services to children, youth, and families.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Engage individuals, groups, and communities to enable meaningful and chosen occupations, including self-care, productivity, and leisure.
  • Support clients to achieve optimum functional abilities and independence related to their cognitive, affective, spiritual, and physical strengths and limitations.
  • Collaborate with clients and families in determining, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
  • Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
  • Previous experience working with children and youth 0-18 in a community setting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent community pediatric experience.
  • Experience working in Meditech scheduling and/or EMR.
