Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessment, consultation, and treatment programs for patients within various programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to provide effective patient care and appropriate discharge planning.
  • Work in a variety of clinical areas, including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, and arthroplasty.
  • Provide evidence-informed services, with a focus on occupational performance designed to meet the needs of individuals, groups, or a community.
  • Act as a direct service provider, consultant, educator, or advocate and function as an integral health care team member.
  • Support clients to achieve optimum functional abilities and independence related to their cognitive, affective, spiritual, and physical strengths and limitations.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program.
  • Registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
  • Heart and Stroke, CPR (BLS-HCP) are required.
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Greater than 1 year Experience in an adult inpatient acute care setting is required.
