Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Maple Drywall Ltd. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall installation, including measuring, cutting, and fitting drywall sheets, as well as applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other drywall installers
  • Measure, cut, and fit drywall sheets to specifications
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy materials
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment
