About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Specialist to join our team at Malina Bakery Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Special Orders: Prepare special orders for customers, including wedding and specialty cakes.
  • Cake Decorating: Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
