About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Designer to join our team at Schneider Electric Norge AS. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for our range of cloud-connected inverter products and accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop communication interface and controls software for our cloud-connected inverter products and accessories
  • Analyze requirements, design, code, debug, document, and mentor other team members
  • Design, estimate, implement, and test new features, protocols, and APIs in a Yocto-based embedded Linux box
  • Write automated unit and integration tests
  • Collaborate with fellow software developers, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers, testers, and other technical and non-technical innovators and support staff around the world
Requirements
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in embedded software and firmware development
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrable expertise with the C programming language for embedded systems
  • Extensive working knowledge of Linux
  • Appreciates and doesn't mind writing automated tests
