Senior Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Senior Support Worker at the Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf. As a key member of our care team, you will provide direct support to residents with complex needs, promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
About Us: The Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf is a leading provider of care services for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Our organization is committed to delivering high-quality care that meets the unique needs of our residents.
Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care and support to residents with complex needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, medication management, and housekeeping.
• Promote independence and self-advocacy among residents through support and guidance.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
• Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent experience.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Availability to work on-site, with no option for remote work.
Compensation: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
