Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at C.H. Guenther & Son. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage EHS documentation and training files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct site observations and implement corporate EHS policies to promote a safe working environment.
  • Develop and maintain EHS records, procedures, and software systems, including Gensuite.
  • Collaborate with the Site EHS Manager and Operations team to identify and address EHS issues.
  • Lead injury and illness tracking, case management, and root cause analysis.
  • Review and approve risk assessments, and assist in coordinating risk reduction projects.
  • Develop and implement EHS training courses for assigned program areas.
  • Support EHS project completion to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in the Emergency Response team and maintain qualifications and training.
  • Provide new hire safety orientation and support corporate wellness initiatives.
  • Assist in performing accident investigations and provide first aid and CPR as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Associate's Degree with 2 years of EHS experience.
  • Prior experience with controlled documentation and documentation change management.
  • Proficient use of computer software, including Microsoft Office and Gensuite.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Demonstrated initiative in identifying and addressing potential safety risks.
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply applicable EHS regulations.
