Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to provide high-quality projects to clients in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, collecting and coordinating useful information to drive project success.
  • Develop innovative technical approaches to mechanical engineering, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing new solutions.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior teammates, reviewing reports and ensuring technical standards are met.
  • Resolve technical issues, cost implications, and conflicts with contractors, providing effective solutions to design problems.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical leads to solve interdisciplinary design conflicts, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Contribute to proposal writing, sharing expertise with other offices and acting as a client contact when necessary.
  • Support and improve quality control, calculating cost opinions, change orders, and earned value.
  • Prepare engineering design, specifications, and recommendations for various projects, including HVAC, energy analysis, equipment selection, and more.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • P.Eng. Status with the appropriate provincial association.
  • 4-6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in technical leadership and project management.
