Radiation Protection Specialist

About the Role
Cameco Corporation is seeking a skilled Radiation Protection Specialist to join our team at Key Lake, a world-leading uranium mill in northern Saskatchewan. As a key member of our radiation department, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with our radiation protection program.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine monitoring and assess working conditions to ensure the safety of all workers.
- Work collaboratively with the SHEQ team to ensure regular deadlines are met and respond to requests for assistance from other departments.
Requirements
- Radiation or environmental monitoring technician certificate or a post-secondary education in a science-related field.
- At least six months of work experience using radiation protection principles.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with safety as a core value.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Relevant work experience.
- Experience as a member of the Occupational Health Committee (OHC).
- Aptitude and desire to become a member of the emergency response team.
