Dietitian - Surgical Short Stay, Cardiac Clinic and Inpatient/ Outpatient Mental Health Specialist

As a Registered Dietitian in our Surgical Short Stay, Cardiac Clinic and Inpatient/ Outpatient Mental Health team, you will play a vital role in providing safe, effective, and ethical care to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans

• Collaborate with inter-professional teams to implement therapeutic diet prescriptions and nutrition support orders

• Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes

• Advocate for patients and families to ensure their rights are recognized and appropriate services are provided

• Participate in medical team meetings and inter-professional rounds to provide nutrition expertise and support

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from a PDEP-accredited program

• Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or equivalent supervised practical training

• Member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario

• 1 year of related clinical experience in an acute care hospital

• Current teaching experience and counseling background preferred
