About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Hand to join our team at Baxter's Alliston facility. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for leading and developing staff, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a team of manufacturing staff to achieve high-quality production and meet customer requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects and initiatives forward.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, including GMP, OSHA, and SHE.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and processes to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; university degree or certification in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-6 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or continuous improvement in a GMP environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, manage time effectively, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
