Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright to join our team at IMP Aerospace & Defence. As an Industrial Millwright, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues using hand and power tools.
  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance on company-owned machines and equipment.
  • Evaluate and recommend the procurement of tooling and equipment.
  • Operate machine tools to manufacture parts for repair or to verify proper operation.
  • Provide on-the-job training to other personnel in the Millwright trade.
  • Assist with plant maintenance functions as required.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Industrial Millwright with a minimum of three years of experience.
  • Hands-on position that requires physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy tools and equipment.
  • Strong trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with tools, equipment, and materials common to the Millwright trade.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP) and fork lift operator permit.
  • Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC-Contract Security Program and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
