About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Delivery Consultant to join our team at IBM. As a key member of our Global Markets organization, you will play a critical role in delivering world-class services to our clients.

Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with clients and partners to design, deliver, and optimize IBM Technology solutions that align with their business goals. You will apply your technical expertise to ensure seamless delivery, leveraging your consultative skills to drive problem-solving, communication, and service orientation.

In this role, you will collaborate with clients to optimize and trailblaze new solutions that address real business challenges. You will be part of a team that is client-focused, courageous, pragmatic, and technical, working together to drive success for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solving Client Challenges Effectively: Understand clients' main challenges and develop solutions that help them reach true business value.
  • Agile Planning and Execution: Create and execute agile plans, responsible for installing and provisioning assets, testing, migrating to production, and day-two operations.
  • Technical Solution Workshops: Conduct and participate in technical solution workshops.
  • Building Effective Relationships: Develop successful relationships at all levels, from engineers to CxOs, with experience navigating challenging debates to reach healthy resolutions.
  • Self-Motivated Problem Solver: Demonstrate a natural bias towards self-motivation, curiosity, initiative, and navigating data and people to find answers and present solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration and communication skills, working across the client, partner, and IBM team.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with 8+ years of experience working with:

  • z/OS High Availability technology and capabilities, including Parallel Sysplex (e.g., GRS, Coupling Facilities, and Sysplex Failure Management).
  • z/OS system programming and Upgrades.
  • zHW Upgrades.
  • z Resilience, including z/OS Swap and Stay.
  • Successfully delivering IBM Z projects and/or architecting and planning infrastructures for customer data centers.

We also require 8+ years of experience in:

  • Customer or executive-facing communications, requirements analysis, documentation, and report presentations.
  • Networking skills, especially TCP/IP knowledge.
  • Storage management experience using DFSMS.
  • Ability to lead customer technical workshops up to 20+ people.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • English: Fluent.
