We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpentry Specialist to join our team at ARZ Contracting Ltd.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
- Site Management: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Construction and Installation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Project Coordination: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and instruct apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure their development and success.
- Business Acumen: Estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
- Availability: Be available for shift or on-call work, and willing to relocate for this position.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Hours: Work a regular 32-40 hour week.
