The Domestic Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of North Middlesex Hospital. This position involves overseeing a team of domestic staff, coordinating with various departments to support patient care, and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the domestic staff team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance monitoring.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff to ensure high standards of cleaning and hygiene.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hospital areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Address any deficiencies in service and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to procure necessary materials and services.
  • Ensure all cleaning practices comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in infection control meetings and implement recommended practices.
  • Maintain records of staff attendance, training, and performance.
