Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Unit Clerk to join our team at the Centennial Centre for Mental Health and Brain Injury. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating communication between health professionals, departments, patients, and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. This will involve a range of administrative tasks, including reception, greeting, and directing visitors, patients, and health professionals; maintaining patient records and charts; transcribing and processing physician orders; and scheduling patient tests and/or treatments.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. You should have experience working with computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. A completion of Grade 12 or equivalent and an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program are also required. Additionally, you should have a current BCLS-HCP card and experience with Connect Care and NetCare systems.
