Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team at West Fraser. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. Analyze trends and variances to ensure accurate financial projections.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present financial reports, performance metrics, and variance analysis to senior management. Provide actionable insights to drive business performance and support strategic initiatives.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, including consolidation and analysis of departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide analytical support for business decisions. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and reporting activities.
- SG&A Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on SG&A expenses. Develop and maintain detailed expense tracking models and provide insights into cost drivers, variances, and trends.
- Working Capital Management: Analyze working capital components including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory. Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and improve working capital efficiency.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling to support strategic projects and business initiatives as needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in finance-related roles.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel, financial software (e.g., Oracle), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Competitive Salary: The salary range for this position is between $65,000 and $85,000 annually.
