Barista/Cashier Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista/Cashier to join our team at Rosedale's Finest Specialty Foods. As a boutique specialty food store, we pride ourselves on offering a variety of hot and chilled beverages, fresh baked goods, and specialty grocery items.

Job Summary: We are searching for experienced Baristas/Cashiers to work on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience and require little training.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a fully stocked and clean station that is consistently in proper running order.
  • Self-manage quantity control by noting products needed for proper functioning of the front of house.
  • Work efficiently with strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Be willing to bring creativity and new ideas to the beverage menu(s).
  • Demonstrate latte art skills (preferred).
  • Provide support to management by answering customer questions, taking catering orders, and operating a P.O.S system when cashing out customers.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Barista (1+ year).
  • Possess a high degree of professionalism.
  • Believe that being energetic, enthusiastic, and attentive to the details required to fulfill the customers' experience are key to everyday performance.
  • Be flexible with shifts and able to work well in an ever-changing environment.
  • Be enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required and with the rest of the team.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00-$20.00 per hour.
  • The expected hours of work are 35-44 per week.
  • The job includes a store discount as a benefit.

Schedule:

  • This is a full-time, permanent position.
  • The shift duration is 8 hours.
  • The shifts can be day, evening, or a combination of both.

  • Tips may be available.

  • English is required for communication with colleagues and customers.
