Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support our restaurant operations. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for maintaining exceptional guest service, operating standards, marketing, and financial results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Restaurant Operations: Assist the Manager in achieving A&W Restaurant Objectives, focusing on guest service, operating standards, marketing, and financial results.
  • Develop and Lead a Team: Develop an outstanding restaurant staff team and employ team process skills to generate performance that exceeds guest expectations.
  • Manage Restaurant During Shifts: Take charge of the restaurant during your shift, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Abilities
    • Maintain key internal and external relationships with other members of the management team, A&W Business Manager, restaurant guests, suppliers, and regulatory representatives.
    • Assist in managing a fast-paced, guest-focused business with an excellent working climate.
    • Read financial statements to the Operating Margin line.
    • Develop a desire to become proficient in selecting, training, and developing people.
  • Working Conditions
    • Work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Work in a diverse environment with many different personalities and attitudes.
    • Work together as partners, as a cohesive unit with co-workers.
    • Work with hot products and equipment.
    • Work with cleaning materials and chemicals.
    • Work in a noisy environment.

  • Physical Requirements
    • Stand for an extended period of time (up to 8 hours).
    • Occasionally lift heavy boxes when dealing with product inventory (max 50 lbs.).
    • Engage in repetitive tasks such as preparing/assembling orders and products and regular cleaning of the restaurant facility.
    • Maintain good personal hygiene and appropriate uniform.
    • Have the capacity to handle stressful situations.
    • Hold a valid driver's license.
