Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to serve as our Director of Development. This role will play a crucial part in building and sustaining relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders, launching fundraising initiatives, and securing sustainable funding to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with Team Rubicon Canada's mission, vision, culture, and priorities.
  2. Lead the planning and execution of corporate partnerships, fundraising campaigns, events, grants, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness of our work.
  3. Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and government agencies to secure financial support for our programs and initiatives.
  4. Establish and achieve annual fundraising targets and KPIs that align with our strategic goals.
  5. Develop and oversee the budget for the Development Department.
  6. Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, track progress against goals, and generate reports for stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (in nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field), advanced degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in fundraising, development, or philanthropy roles.
  • Proven track record of leading comprehensive development strategy development and execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Strong proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $92,500-$107,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
