Job Title: Customs Associate I

At CB Canada, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Customs Associate I to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all import and export shipments comply with U.S. and Canadian customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with consignees, shippers, and brokers to clear shipments, resolve paperwork issues, and customs holds.
  • Research and resolve issues on CBSA bonded shipments that are on hold at Gateway.
  • Review and verify shipment information for USCBP.
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls to resolve paperwork issues, clear shipments, and close entries.
  • Perform routine data entry and direct commercial invoices through Genesis System to brokers as part of the clearance process.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma. Post-secondary education in International Studies or recipient of Certified Customs Specialist designation preferred.
  • No experience required, administrative experience in cross-border transportation and/or customs preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
  • Good understanding of technical and administrative terms relating to US and Canadian government import and export regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good customer service skills.
Work Schedule:

Part-time position, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
