**Job Overview**

The Northwest Employment Works is seeking a skilled Native Family Counsellor to join our team. As a District Native Child and Family Counsellor, you will provide comprehensive support services to Anishinabek children, youth, and their families.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Clinical assessments and planning for optimal treatment and counselling outcomes
  • Providing consultation services for community behavioural assessments and intervention
  • Clinical support services and case management for Anishinabek adults with serious mental illness

**Requirements:**

  • A minimum two-year Social Work Diploma or related field is required
  • Possession of a three-year BSW Degree is preferred
  • Two or more years experience in counselling services for Anishinabek children, youth, or families
  • Candidates with alternative education qualifications and relevant experience will be considered
  • A satisfactory Criminal Records Search is mandatory
  • A valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate is essential
  • Ability to work flexible hours as determined by the District Mental Health and Addictions Services Manager
  • Maintenance of a Class "G" Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with $1 million liability insurance
  • Medical and up-to-date immunization are recommended but not mandatory

**What We Offer:**

We offer a competitive wage range of $25.08 – $32.73 per hour and 32.5 hours of work per week.
