The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to join our team at Penningtons, a leading Canadian retailer. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in bringing our fashion offerings to the next level by interpreting trends and creating stylish, on-trend collections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our design team to define seasonal trends for our target market
  • Develop and execute your own design concepts, ensuring they align with our brand aesthetic and customer needs
  • Work closely with our production team to oversee the creation of artwork, seasonal color cards, and technical drawings
  • Participate in decision-making meetings to ensure our designs meet our quality and style standards
  • Attend fittings to ensure our garments meet our quality and fit standards
Qualifications
  • University degree (or College diploma) in Fashion Design
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in fashion design
  • Excellent fashion sense and ability to create original, stylish designs
