About the Role

We are seeking a skilled External Cylindrical Grinder Setup Specialist to join our team at TC Chrome (2005) Ltd. as a key member of our custom machine shop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up external cylindrical grinders to perform repetitive machining operations, ensuring high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers, to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery, including cleaning and lubricating parts, to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Clean and maintain the work space, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Operate and maintain other machinery, including boring machines, engine lathes, and universal grinders, as required.
Requirements
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in machining operations.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Experience with external cylindrical grinders and other machining equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a machine shop environment.
