About the Role

ADJ Industries Inc (ADJ) is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machinery, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to understand production requirements.
  • Repair and maintain machine tools and parts, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools to meet specific production needs.
  • Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances, ensuring quality control.
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments, ensuring accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, ensuring efficient production.
Requirements
  • Machinist Trade Certification.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Experience with automatic lathes, boring machines, cylindrical grinders, milling machines, and tool grinders.
  • Proficiency in computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Steel-toed safety boots and tools required.
