About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and compiling cancer-related data from various sources, maintaining data confidentiality and security, generating reports and summaries of cancer data, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data quality control procedures and standards to ensure the reliability of cancer data.
- Utilize standardized coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, SNOMED CT) to accurately code and categorize cancer diagnoses, treatments, and outcomes.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, facilitating updates and corrections as necessary.
Requirements:
- A college or university degree in a related field (e.g., Health Information Management, Medical records).
- Knowledge of cancer terminology, diagnostic codes, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with data management tools and software, including database systems.
