Executive Chef and Restaurant Operations Manager

Sultan Ahmet Turkish Cuisine is seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef and Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food quality, service standards, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing kitchen staff, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving sales growth. You will work closely with our head chef to develop and implement new menu items, manage inventory, and optimize operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Kitchen Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and timeliness.
- Food Quality Control: Conduct regular taste tests, inspect food preparation, and enforce HACCP protocols to maintain exceptional food safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, including ordering supplies, managing stock, and minimizing waste.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with our head chef to create new menu items, update existing ones, and maintain seasonal offerings.
- Staff Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and coaching to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff.
- Certifications: Food Safety Certification (e.g., HACCP), ServeSafe, or equivalent.
- Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary education in culinary arts or hospitality preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, with at least 6 months as an executive chef or sous chef.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands.
A competitive salary is offered, commensurate with experience: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and performance. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
