Job Summary

This role is a key part of our operational team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing of scrap materials. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify scrap materials against quality and environmental standards
  • Operate equipment used for depolluting vehicles and performing general maintenance duties
  • Assist in scrap inspection and maintenance activities within the yard
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote the core values of Gerdau
  • Participate in daily safety routines and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

  • High school education preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to approximately 50 pounds
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
