We are seeking a skilled Parts Person to assist customers in locating required parts, provide pricing, and complete online parts orders.
Key Responsibilities- Unloading and Receiving: Unload, receive, and store incoming parts and materials in the warehouse and yard.
- Parts Location and Shipping: Locate parts and materials, and ship to customers and other branches.
- Customer Support: Provide assistance to branch service technicians as required.
- Inventory Management: Place inventory stock orders, make inventory and bin adjustments, and accurately document and report all shipping, receiving, inventory, and stock information.
- Equipment Operation: Use parts and warehousing equipment and computer systems.
- Customer Service: Effective customer service skills and ability to build lasting partnerships with customers.
- Flexibility: Flexible work schedule to accommodate peak seasons, including working shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and decision-making skills required.
- Independence: Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and company policies and procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Effective problem-solving skills.
- Parts Knowledge: Solid foundation of parts/warehousing knowledge and skills.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in the parts industry preferred.
- Certification: Journeyperson Certification is considered an asset.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working within the Heavy Duty Truck, fabrication, and/or manufacturing industry considered an asset but not required.
