Construction Project Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Pomerleau. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing construction activity on our projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of construction professionals to deliver exceptional results
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and building codes
- Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including documentation of site activities, inspections, and testing
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on project management and supervision
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of construction professionals
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and other construction documents
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
