About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team at the Manitoba Government. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT) services and ensuring the successful completion and delivery of ICT Projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage ICT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives are met.
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including project charters, scope statements, and project schedules.
  • Manage project teams, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring team members have the necessary resources and training.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and external vendors, to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Manitoba Government policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience leading projects, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies, concepts, frameworks, and tools.
  • Strong political and business acumen, with the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Experience delivering presentations and communicating with all levels of staff, management, and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in contract management, managing vendors and/or service providers, and monitoring service levels and contract obligations.
  • PMP, Prince2, CSM Certified or similar.
