Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Insurance Risk Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our commercial underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in assessing the acceptability of complex, high-premium policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Risk Analysis and Assessment: Perform thorough risk analysis using technology and external data sources to quote, negotiate, and authorize the acceptance of risk.
- Policy Renewals and Reinsurance: Determine eligibility for policy renewals based on company guidelines and retention goals, and arrange reinsurance or subscribing companies when necessary.
- Record Keeping and Communication: Maintain accurate records of decisions made and ensure completeness of policy data, communicating decisions promptly and professionally to stakeholders.
- Mentorship and Training: Act as a subject matter expert and mentor less experienced team members to ensure knowledge transfer and professional growth.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in the Commercial Property and Casualty industry.
- Education: Post-secondary education or related business experience.
- Designation: Completed or actively pursuing a Property and Casualty Industry Designation.
- Languages: Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken).
- Skillset: Excellent attention to detail, decision-making skills, communication skills, customer service skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and adaptability to change.
We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
