Empowering Employees: A Leadership Opportunity
The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is seeking a talented individual to spearhead its enterprise learning strategy, driving performance, engagement, and organizational culture.
This critical role will influence the design of the WSIB's learning center in London, Ontario, creating a cultural hub for the organization. As a Strategic Learning Officer, you will develop and implement enterprise-wide learning solutions, assessing leadership and employee needs, and providing expert advice and consultation to leaders and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of leadership development, succession planning, and career management, with a proven track record of implementing innovative learning solutions. Strong communication and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership Development: Assess, develop, and implement leadership solutions to enhance leadership capabilities, including executive development resources, leadership programs, and coaching services.
- Employee Learning and Development: Design and implement employee learning solutions, including tuition assistance programs, e-learning courses, and onboarding initiatives.
- Program Development and Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of leadership and learning solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Vendor Management: Oversee the procurement and vendor management process, ensuring effective relationships with external vendors and partners.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Provide regular updates, seek feedback, and implement change management best practices to enhance the effectiveness and impact of programs and solutions.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., applied behavioural sciences, human resources management, adult education) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 5-8 years of progressive Human Resources experience in leadership development, learning, succession planning, and career management.
- Skills: Strong communication, project management, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of implementing innovative learning solutions.
