What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a highly skilled Data-Driven Solutions Expert to join our team. As a Big Data Application Developer, you will work closely with various partners across IT and business to deliver technical and business needs. Our technology stack is composed of Big-Data Hadoop Cluster Spark framework, Pega v8, Java/Spring boot micro-services deployed to Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Quantexa integrated with Elastic and OpenShift infrastructures. You will have opportunities to work with front-end technologies, Case Management and creation of Enterprise Class Structure and Rulesets design. Full PRPC implementation including rules configuration, customization and package deployment with best Pega practices.

What will you do?

  • Technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems
  • Apply extensive, in-depth knowledge, skills, and practices to perform complex assignments
  • Develop and support highly scalable, high-performance components within an Agile development team
  • Ensure high code quality through automated unit and functional testing
  • Display ability to independently handle module deliveries, multi-task effectively and provide timely updates
  • Communicate effectively with peers and distil technical details into human terms
  • Be open-minded and look beyond assigned tech stack to solve complex problems
  • Proactively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Extensive experience with Big Data (Hadoop / Spark) and ETL development competencies
  • Professional Software development experience with HDFS, PL/SQL and other Database related programming languages
  • Experience developing secure server side services leveraging the following APIs: Spring, Spring Batch/Boot, RESTful Webservices, Apache Data Utilities (JSON, Avro, CSV/PSV, Parquet), NoSQL/SQL databases and Struts 2.0
  • Experience and knowledge with Java, J2EE, Spring / REST / Microservices, Linux and NoSQL/SQL databases
  • Experience with building Cloud-ready microservices and containerizing applications
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Experience with DevOps , CD/CI tools- Jenkins, GitHub, Automated Testing tools, or similar tools
  • Contribute in application design and develop code structures to promote reusability across many applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sense of empathy to effectively liaise between business and technology teams
  • Strong Written & Verbal Communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and proven ability for independent work

Nice-to-have

  • Elastic and Snowflake certifications
  • Pega or Quantexa Certified developer
  • AML systems or Case Management and experience in creation of Enterprise Class Structure and Rulesets design
