Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Norfolk County. As a key member of our Roads department, you will be responsible for providing a variety of construction, maintenance, and repair services to roadways and adjacent public property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct road inspections and repairs as required
  • Operate heavy equipment, including dump trucks, plows, and wing trucks
  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping activities on County vehicles and equipment
  • Assist with setup and cleanup of traffic control measures and special events
  • Transport construction, maintenance, and scrap materials from job sites and roads operations facilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school graduation
  • Valid province of Ontario Class "DZ" licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Over one year up to and including two years related experience
Skills and Abilities
  • Basic understanding of heavy equipment operation
  • Computer experience in corporate standard software (Microsoft Office) and department-specific software
  • Awareness of safe work practices and Occupational Health and Safety Act
Benefits

This is a temporary full-time position with a salary of $26.33 - $32.75 per hour. The position is located in Central and Simcoe/East locations.
