We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer Co-op to join our team in Ontario. As an Electrical Engineering Co-op, you will work on various design projects for underground and overhead systems, including telecommunications, transmission, distribution, and substation design.
You will be part of a project team and assist with tasks such as substation and overhead lines/underground cable routing layout & configuration design, project development, scope, and budget. You will also attend client design review meetings and conduct field site inspections.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of power system studies and analysis using engineering software packages. You will prepare electrical equipment specifications, electrical installation scope of work documents, and performance specifications.
Responsibilities- Assist with substation and overhead lines/underground cable routing layout & configuration design;
- Participate in project development, scope, and budget;
- Attend client design review meetings;
- Conduct field site inspections;
- Gain knowledge of power system studies and analysis;
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications and documents;
- Assist with drafting and CAD updates;
- Other tasks as assigned by the team.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word;
- Ability to work in a team environment and with minimal supervision;
- Eligibility to work in Canada;
- Third or fourth-year Engineering student in Electrical Engineering.
