Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Executive Director of Technology and Operations to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong background in technology and operations management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organizational policies and programs to drive business growth and efficiency
  • Lead the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Formulate or approve policies and programs to achieve strategic goals, representing the organization in negotiations and official functions
  • Select and develop middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, delegating authority and creating optimal working conditions
  • Manage events and conduct performance reviews to drive business results

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, with a strong background in technology and operations management
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and efficiency through policy development and implementation
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization in negotiations and official functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective policies and programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a government or public sector organization
  • Knowledge of blockchain, Jira, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with management and product development
