Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Officer to join our team at the Wek'èezhìı Renewable Resources Board. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining relationships with Tlicho communities and organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the Board to develop and maintain relationships with Tlicho communities and organizations.
  • Support and provide information on renewable resource management to Tlicho communities.
  • Develop and implement communication and education materials/programs.
  • Make effective presentations to a range of audiences, including elders, youth, government employees, stakeholders, etc.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary training in communications and/or conservation-education or equivalency.
  • Working with northern communities and/or in cross-cultural settings.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak the Tlicho language.
  • Renewable resource management training.
  • Familiarity with the Tlicho Agreement.
