We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Officer to join our team at the Wek'èezhìı Renewable Resources Board. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining relationships with Tlicho communities and organizations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the Board to develop and maintain relationships with Tlicho communities and organizations.
- Support and provide information on renewable resource management to Tlicho communities.
- Develop and implement communication and education materials/programs.
- Make effective presentations to a range of audiences, including elders, youth, government employees, stakeholders, etc.
- Post-secondary training in communications and/or conservation-education or equivalency.
- Working with northern communities and/or in cross-cultural settings.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to speak the Tlicho language.
- Renewable resource management training.
- Familiarity with the Tlicho Agreement.
- Negotiable salary based on qualifications and experience.
- Northern allowance and attractive benefits package.
- Relocation assistance negotiable.
- Hybrid work from office/home structure available.
