About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at INDEMAND CARE HEALTHY AGENCY INC. as a Patient Care Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personalized Care: Offer pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Health Education: Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their well-being.
  • Nursing Services: Deliver nursing services within defined scope of practice, based on patient assessment and care planning procedures, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor patients' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Certifications: Eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, and a valid CPR Certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Personal Qualities: Flexibility, reliability, and a strong team player attitude.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: 32 to 40 hours per week.
  • Language: English.
