We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Services team at Horizon Health Network. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, utilizing the nursing process to ensure effective and efficient care delivery.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient responses.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare services.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, using electronic medical records and other documentation tools.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
- Current registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ICU or CCU, or 1 year of cardiac surgery and cardiology or cardiac intervention experience, or 3 years of medical/surgical experience.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Current IV Therapy and phlebotomy certifications.
- Defibrillation certification and willingness to participate in Code Blue and Code White teams.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, respecting language of choice.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
