Highway Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Highway Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Lumby, BC. As a key member of our Road Crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to safely undertake road construction and maintenance activities in the field.

• Operate various types of heavy equipment, including graders, to construct and maintain roads.
• Work closely with Woodlands Operations Supervisors to follow building activities and ensure compliance with forest policy, guidelines, and regulations.
• Collaborate with other operators to effectively construct and maintain roads.

You will also work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and professional manner, adhering to Tolko's high standards for quality and customer satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A valid Class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
• Previous experience running a grader and operating heavy equipment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
• An understanding of forest policy, guidelines, and regulations.
• Experience with iPads and mapping applications is an asset.
