Job Title: Human Resources Director

Accoravillage is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Director to lead our regional/national HR operations. As a strategic leader, you will partner with Function and Operational VPs to support initiatives and strategies, provide HR subject matter expertise, and drive a values-driven culture at a grass-roots level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to leadership on employment and company policies/practices to ensure fair and consistent implementation/application for legislative compliance, positive team member relations, and to mitigate litigation.
  • Lead complex investigations and assess relevant HR risks and company exposure in all Team Member matters.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing HR team, defining roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations, and ensuring each member has the resources and support needed to excel in their roles.
  • Establish relationships with HR leaders across the organization to align and roll out communications developed corporately.
  • Assist in identifying emerging talent, provide support and input in building meaningful development plans and succession plans.
  • Develop and execute initiatives that improve culture, team member relations, talent management, team member development, engagement, and training.
  • Reinforce best culture and best HR practices when at the sites.
  • Manage the department HR budgets and provide input on recommendations for hourly rates by region.
  • Lead new start-up/acquisitions with communication, recruitment, onboarding, culture, and orientation.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and experience in managing a team of direct reports.
  • Proven ability to develop and articulate clear and compelling HR strategies in a performance-driven culture.
  • Strong organizational and influencing skills to effectively translate strategies into actionable initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of preparing and facilitating clear and concise employee/leader communications, executive briefings, and Board-level presentations.
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, talent acquisition, employee relations, labour relations, diversity and inclusion, talent management, talent development, performance management, change management, and employment laws.
  • Initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation; demonstrated agility and resilience to creatively solve problems.
