Job Summary

Covenant Health, in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the Department of Anesthesia, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta, invites applications for a Staff Anesthesiologist to be based primarily at a hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

The successful applicants will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Anesthesia, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

This position carries a maximum of 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE). The allotment of FTE to the successful candidate(s) will be determined at the time of hire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality anesthesiology services to patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in anesthesiology and related areas.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD) or equivalent.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
  • Certification in Anesthesiology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
